Mar 8,2023
HIFU facials may be the best anti-aging facials out there. If you haven't heard of this facial, now is the time. Let's start with the basics!
What is a HIFU facial?
A HIFU facial is basically a non-surgical facelift/non-invasive facial skin tightening treatment. A HIFU facial is a great way to slow down the natural aging process and is an ideal treatment for tightening the skin.
This focused ultrasound facial works better than a surgical facelift. HIFU is great for treating facial wrinkles and boosting collagen levels in the skin. It's also better than a surgical facelift, which can be painful and expensive. HIFU treatments are painless, cost much less than surgical facelifts, and have no downtime!
How does a HIFU facial work?
HIFU treatment uses ultrasound energy to target cells under the skin. Ultrasound heats these skin cells, boosting collagen production. Increased collagen production improves skin elasticity, leaving your skin firmer and firmer, and reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
HIFU stands for High Intensity Focused Ultrasound. Ultrasound energy was originally used to treat tumors. In 2008, this ultrasound technology began to be used for cosmetic purposes. It is one of the few cosmetic procedures that has FDA approval. In other words, it's guaranteed to work. This is a great alternative to surgery! You'll have a more youthful appearance and your skin will improve over time.
Who Should Get a HIFU Facial?
HIFU treatment is not for everyone! It is always recommended that you consult your esthetician or dermatologist to ensure you are getting the correct treatment for your skin type and skin concerns.
Ideal candidates for HIFU treatment are those over the age of 30 with some degree of facial aging (mild to moderate skin laxity, fine lines and/or wrinkles). Those with moderately severe sunburn or sagging skin may need more sessions to see results. Older adults with sagging skin or severe sun damage may not be ideal candidates for a HIFU facial.
